With Rotarian Simon Shusha as extremly committed principal this school is going from strength to strength
Their choir won the regional first prize and ended second nationally in the choir competition in their division, academic results are excellent and they receive well deserved assistance from the Hibiscus Rotary Club
The school believes in self help and runs a feeding scheme towards which the club contributed R 2500 and a vegetable garden for which garden tools seeds and fertilizer were provided in the sum of R 2000
During the past year a number of initaitives involviong the school were undertaken, firstly District Governor Richard Fisher came to see the choir sing and recruited them to sing at the District Conference in May.
This resulted in an apperanace fee and a donation from open hearted Rotarians of more than R10000 a part of which was used to cut a DVD showcasing the music of the choir. Sales have been brisk and there are two versions of the DVD one has the live performance all the conference photos and the professional recording of the choir. These are available at R 100 each and orders can be placed on hibiscusrotary@netcomsa.net
