FEBRUARY 2008
This sounds like the name of a rock or a boy band or possible even a famous brand of tea but no the real deal is that we of Hibiscus Coast the last outpost of the last outpost were graced or should I say favoured with visits from past district governor Colleen Pieterse, our current district governor Richard Fisher with DG Anne Dawn and then ffffformer district governor Gerald Sieberhagen and Sue.
PDG Colleen attended our meeting at which we did the draw for the very successful Boesman raffle which raised R26 000 for the purchase of dogs for the police dog unit.
Next District Governor Richard Fisher and DG Ann Dawn arrived to have a look at the music scene with a eye on conference 2008. He attended our business meeting and shared with us the progress made by district 9270 and the most important part was that we had dodged the spectre of re districting by upping our membership of district to over the 1000 member mark.
Next was ffffformer district governor Gerald Sieberhagen and his Ann Sue, they visited with us at our flagship project the Rotary Uvongo Flea market on Saturday morning, Saturday evening the club held a fellowship evening and celebrated the Sharks beating the Stormers and the gand finale the 103rd birthday of Rotary
