Governor Richard makes appeal for fire victims
Should Rotary Clubs wish to make a cash donation, of whatever amount, this should be paid into the following account:
Account name: Rotary International D9270
Bank: Nedbank
Branch code: 134025
Account: 1340408813
In order for us to react quickly to the need, please try to get your payment, should you choose to make one, into this account as soon as possible, but preferably not later than 20 July. Please fax a copy of your deposit slip to 031 266 9015 and identify the payment with the word Midlands and your club name.
Should Rotary Clubs wish to make donations in kind, please direct any enquiries to Hennie de Bruin (082 498 9812) or Di / James Holderness (082 588 9393 and 082 5531917 respectively). They have set up storage depots (one of which is The Foaming Tankard at the Show Grounds in Pietermaritzburg). Feedback trucks will assist with the distribution of relief goods. Some of the Feedback trucks will come from Durban, so should you wish to send items from Durban, please contact Patrick Andries (082 301 1191) or Brad Burger (082 895 0404).
Please consider the above facts and ask your club if it would like to provide any kind of support to the victims of the fire damage. Here is an opportunity for D9270 to help small groups of people, in our own district, who have no resources to fall back on. We often help other countries and districts in cases of need - let us open our hearts and share Rotary with those in our own district who need help.
