Family Literacy project wins RI award
PDG Vic Bredenkamp informs us that the renowned Family Literacy Project run by Snoeks Desmond in the foothills of the Drakensberg, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hilton-Howick, and supported by funds from the Rotary Foundation, has once again received international recognition.
Readers may recall that not long ago this project achieved the honour of being selected as one of only nine literacy projects world wide to participate in a WHite House conference on Global literacy, hosted by Laura Bush to celebrate World Literacy Day. Florence Molefe from Loteni travelled to the White House to represent the Family of Literacy project and to receive the award.
