MIKE LESAR INDUCTED AS PRESIDENT FOR 2008/09

INDUCTION OF INCOMING PRESIDENT MIKE LESAR There was a good turnout for the Induction of our new President, Mike Lesar on Tuesday 17 June. Rotarian Lawrence Holden welcomed all present including our new District Governor, Hennie de Bruin and his Ann Beth. AG Rob Gilligan could not attend as he was inundated with rain in Port Shepstone. President Elect Mike Lesar brought the moving meeting to a fitting close by looking to the year ahead and reading his own poem to us. I can believe Paul when he wrote That the spirit prays for us With sighs too deep for words Sighs like that I know about My sighs always surprise me For a sigh, like a dream, Is what happens when the breath Or thought is not all mine. Those breaths and thoughts Bring the world into my soul And then escape with more of me Than I knew was there. So to all of us I have to say Dare to dream Dream and scheme Plot and plan And then do And as you achieve You and I will make dreams real.
