New President Induction
The chefs school with it magnificent views of the 1000 hills valley, was an apt venue for the induction of Clive Phillpotts, president of the Rotary Club of Inchanga A 1000 Hills.
After a GREAT year from Garth Middleton, the highlight being doubling the club members, Clive has big shoes to fill. Clive is an experienced Rotarian and no stranger to leading a Rotary club, and has already shown his commitment to this club. His wife Pat will be at his side as secretary of the club, and his daughters supporting from the wings.
Clive named his new board members, as well as inducting five new members as his first duty as club president. Three of the new members are a family trio of, Trent, Juliana and Ashley Bester. It may be the first time a father, mother and son have been inducted into a Rotary Club at once.
Other awards presented on the day were; Wendy Middleton was awarded the Rotarian of the Year for her dedication, role as Secretary and maintaining communication and a relationship with the district as well as Rotary International. Clive was awarded the Founders award for his commitment to the club, and a new award, Membership for most members introduced to the Club during the year. Jenny Siepman was awarded the Service above self award, recognizing her for her dedication to the club projects.
Here’s to another busy year for the club with a difference!
